In the words of Porsche themselves, we see a car that is “Precise, not fanciful. Self-assured, not restrained.”
This beautiful example of a Porsche Boxster GTS was an absolute pleasure to shoot. I say pleasure because not only was my style of photo a unique way to capture the beauty of this car, I found out while doing the shoot that these photos were the only thing that was going to keep a dream alive for somebody. The owner had dreamt their entire life of owning a Porsche. They had worked hard to afford one, and ultimately were more successful than most in making this dream come true. Then after just 6 months their life took a turn for the worst when they suffered a serious medical condition that left them permanently unable to drive. With the costs of medical care being a huge financial burden, something had to go. The Porsche – his dream.
It’s fair to say I was flattered that what I was about to deliver was going to mean so much to someone. I didn’t get to meet the owner, but if I do, I’m absolutely sure they will have these photos on the wall, in a frame, or saved in a memory box to share with another generation.
